So from what I've heard, the artist/DAmember *redradishRabbit recently ran into some life difficulties (I don't know any of the details) and is struggling to raise money to support herself through these troubles. Whether or not you've felt the sting of the tight economy (I myself have not had work in 4 years since the business I last worked for went under, and my mother recently lost her job of 9+ years to a careless complaint of a coworker about the way she explained something), it is a real thing and is affecting everyone in various ways. However, Deviantart is a great community of artists from all over the world and we have the ability to help each other through these times, whether through monetary means or community support and awareness.
On that note of support, *redradishRabbit has opened up and is trying to promote commissions - she's a ridiculously amazing artist, and well worth the price. However, if you don't have the money to commission her (well, I sure as hell don't) then there are other avenues of support to take, such as donating what you can or simply spreading word of her art and commissions. More information and incentive can be found on =promised-freedom's page, who is working very hard to promote their friend.
