Oh and the art, All your art, its absolutely beautiful and amazing! I wish i had your art skills!
And thank you so much. ovo Sososososo much. I'm not very well versed in drawing... can't draw objects, hands, bodies, poses, backgrounds, etcetcetcetc... but I try. *V*
*Points to my crapass art* Have you seen that shiiz? Yours is legendary compared to me! And i think you draw all those things beautifully!
Well... I've been drawing for about... 14 years. In my own lazy fashion. So in all that time, I better have gotten a grasp on how to draw (not really)... but really I think it's about influence/emulation. I loved Kaori Yuki (Angel Sanctuary, Ludwig Kakumei [my fave]) and DN Angel and the like, so I emulated it, thus, the fixation on eyes and hair. >_> (Whatever you do, don't throw away your art. I threw away like 90% of all the art I've drawn since I've started... reeeeegreeeeeeet.)
Yeah influence does have a lot to with it, I just need to find things that can help me draw better xD And oh god, i just deleted a bunch of my old art x.x i guess i should just find a way to keep it all in one folder this time.
Ohmygosh. I have ALL the tutorials/references. All of them. [not really, but I have a few good ones!]
Yuumei's Head Perspective Chart is super duper awesome [link]
This is an amazing lip reference sheet (even if you don't use that style) [link]
This is great sorta step by step process and reference sheet on eyes and the mouth [link]
I dunno. Best way to get better is to draw a lot, draw a lot from reference, and, hell, even copy shit to practice getting familiar with the human contours and also give your hand a little confidence. >_> I just remembered something... whenever I needed help on how to draw something (HANDS OMG, HANDS), I look at my manga...
Yeah... I have a filing cabinet for my crap now, but used to use a binder + sheet protectors. And it used to cover like... two walls of my room in high school. .-. Threw that all away. ._.
Oh gosh, that sucks! I dont typically draw with a pen and pencil, but when i do i keep them in my crappy sketch book.
I'm so terrible to my paper drawings - I've spilled crap on them, stepped on them, etc etc etc. They're all over the place, and not where they should be (cabinet). The problem I have with sketch books is the way the pencil can rub onto the other pages and smudge everything up. o_o
